Beschreibung von Goslar:

Die Baureihe 103 - Geocoin entstand aus dem Wunsch eine eigene persönliche Geocoin zu haben, die meine Interessen widerspiegelt und auch etwas Besonderes darstellen sollte.

Ich arbeite seit 2007 bei der Deutschen Bahn und war zuvor schon von der Eisenbahn, den Lokomotiven und auch Zügen fasziniert. Doch die Baureihe 103 ist meine Lieblingslokomotive.

Die Farben der Lokomotiven sind den originalgetreuen Farben der Loks nachempfunden, welche die Loks während ihrem Einsatz bei der Deutschen Bundesbahn hatten.

Summer Solstice - Gold

 

It's official, summer is here and it's time to get the lawn chairs out! The 21st of June marks the Summer Solstice and today will have the longest period of daylight. The back of the Geocoin features a mutli-level 3D design of Stonehenge and the front side has a hidden code. We love to celebrate summer by soaking up the sun rays, swimming, hiking, barbecuing, and of course, GEOCACHING! How do you like to enjoy your summer days?!

Dies ist die Schnapszahl Geocoin Flasche, an die mittels einer Kugelkette die einzelnen Schnapszahlen als Pinnchen angehängt werden können (3erlei und 4erlei Schnapszahlen). It measures 2 inches high, 3mm thick and has hard coloured enamels and black nickel finish.

This shaped coin features a Viking warriors head on the front.

The back design was inspired by a trip to the Lofoten Islands in Norway during the Midnight Sun, with 2 vikings in a Viking Longboat and the mountains of the Lofoten Islands rising from the sea behind them.

The combined design effort of Sarah Chisholm and Christian Mackey has resulted in a unique coin utilizing a wide variety of advances in coin production. Research began to find images of the correct Arthurian Era armor, weaponry, shields, blazons and so forth before pencil hit paper for the first time.
