Saint George Geocoin

 

Saint George geocoin is based on the golden ducat coin minted in Kremnica (Slovakia) in the late seventeenth century. Later medals based on this coin were worn as a protection against perils at sea.

The text is 'S . GEORGIVS . EQVITUM . PATRONVS.' - St George, Patron of the Knights

On the back side ship in a storm with inscription 'IN TEMPESTATE SECURITAS' - safety in the storm

Diameter 44,5 mm, thickness 4 mm
