__Arizona State Medallion Set

Description

Arizona's original Statehood date was February 14, 1912.

The reverse design of the Arizona state medallion features a rendition of the Grand Canyon. The inscriptions include the State name and a banner reading "Grand Canyon State." The reverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Joseph Menna.

Arizona was the last state admitted in the continental United States. The design features the Grand Canyon, which is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is also part of the United States National Park System. The canyon is 6,000 feet deep at its deepest. The reverse design also contains the Saguaro cactus in the foreground.

The State Medallion series is based on artwork from the US Mint which was used on the 50 State Quarter Program. The medallions will come in a two medallion set containing a quarter size (24.26mm) medallion and a 38mm medallion. There will be special state map that you can place the smaller ones in, if you so desire. The set (both medallions) will have the same tracking number so please do not release both at the same time.
