What does the face on this ancient coin represent? Dr. Elisabeth Latch, a history professor at the VanTiki University, has a theory. “TikiCoin #1 and #3,” she explained via telegraph, “represent the light and dark of cache hunting. Coin #1 is filled with joy - the experience of hunting for a cache in nature with friends is all that matters. Coin #3, on the other hand, is focused entirely on the hunt. This focus has taken all the joy out of caching, and you can see the anger in the coin’s face.”
Clay TikiCoin #3 has been meticulously hand pressed and glazed in my Kailua studio, working from a mold of my original clay sculpture. Like all things handcrafted, no two are exactly alike - so the coin you receive will vary slightly from the photograph. Measuring approximately 2 1/8 inches in diameter, each coin is stamped on the back with a unique tracking number for use with the geocaching.com website. In addition, TikiCoin #3 comes with a pathtag replica of its unique geocaching.com icon!
Clay TikiCoin #3 is part of a set of 4 trackable Clay TikiCoin designs (100 coins were pressed of each design - 400 total). Be sure to take a look at Clay TikiCoin #1, #2, and #4 as well.
